Bob and I have been married since 1973. We were high school sweethearts. Everyone…all together…give us a handclap and say AMAZING! In June, that will be 37 years!! I know. I’m amazed too!
How’d we do it? Work, people. It’s work. It’s prayer. It’s tears. It’s pain. It’s forgiveness. It’s joys. It’s laughter. It’s love. It’s God!
We have to work at it and frankly sometimes the doldrums roll in. Sometimes it’s boring. Sometimes we need help and refreshment, then more Help! So a blogger and writer, Kathi Lipp, came to my attention (probably on the Twitter), who has written a book for married folks.
Here’s the first sentence that struck me:
“When was the last time you flirted with your husband?”
If I have to answer that truthfully, I don’t remember. I truly don’t remember. How about you? When was the last time you flirted with your husband, or wife?
So I signed up to review and go through her book right here on my blog. Yup! So let’s get refreshed together, okay? We’ll start our 21 days May 1.
