Peeps are for eating

Personally, Peeps are for eating. I’ve never made art from Peeps, nor played pretend, nor tried to make a Peep anything but stale, because that’s how I like them best. I’ve even developed a speed peep trick to get them over that fresh and squishiest stage. Just poke the cellophane on the package and stick them in your self detrosting frig. They’ll be ready to eat in hours instead of days the old fashioned way.

This is my first Easter in the Washington DC area, so imagine my delight and surprise that the capitol city has also taken a passionate liking to peeps!

Here is some Peep fun!

For the 4th year the Washington Post has sponsored a Peep art competition. You won’t believe your eyes!

As a former church administrator this one would have been my favorite! Take a look at these photos on their Facebook.

Peeps are made by the Just Born company and their website is a little fun, but also informative and newsy. Take a peep:

And now, a mere 20 miles away, there is a Peep STORE!

I haven’t had any Peeps since Christmas so I’ll be getting some this week for sure. I sometimes hope I get them as gifts, or, that I find them on sale next week. They are actually low in calories per peep.

And, in case you are too embarassed to buy them at the store, you can get them online and delivered to your door!

And no, I’m not being paid by Just Born or any other Peep manufacturer, but if they’d like to pay me, that would be swell.

Sorry. Not a fan of marshmallow peeps. I like chocolate. Pure, unadulterated chocolate…

I'm with Helen. I don't like them either, but I think it's the texture that turns me off more than the taste. Cool pics though. šŸ™‚
