Struggling & Battling

Lately, when my husband and I talk about work, words you frequently hear us use lately is struggle…battle…challenge.

I looked up the definition of battle.

Yes, indeed, we ARE contending with “full strength, vigor, and resources!” We are doing new things. We’re learning. We’re overcoming habits that may have dulled us. We’re finding our way and setting a new course. Just like walking through a field of tall grass for the first time, each step new and unknown, possibly even dangerous for the unseen ground underneath.

Are we up for this? Absolutely! The Lord has prepared our way. We have faith we will be healthy and successful in our new places. But in a tired and weary state, it’s easy to feel discouraged. We need to be each other’s best encouragers because there isn’t anyone else that has yet to take that up for us here in our new state. (We’re working on that.) We need to guard against petty and easy reactions that will scrape away the bits of successes that are so small these days.

So, I need to click Publish Post now because I have a hug to give and a “well done my love” to say.
